Sleepy Kitty Studio Terms of Service
By making a purchase from Sleepy Kitty Studio, you acknowledge that you’ve read and agreed to the following information (subject to change).
Sleepy Kitty Studio is run by one adult human (hi, I’m Sam!).
I consider the pieces I create wearable art! Each item takes a lot of time to make, but the upside to this is that I can ensure that each piece meets my high standard of quality.
Because there is only one of me, I not only conceptualize and create all items, but I am the only one doing customer service, shipping, back-end operations, and the like. Therefore, I ask for your patience in communicating with me—I try to get to inquiries as soon as I possibly can. I am also a full time college student, so I currently do not have a set schedule for new product releases; instead, I post on Instagram ahead of when I put products in my shop.
I want nothing more than for your experience with Sleepy Kitty Studio and my products to be a magical one! Because of this, I ask you to read through the entirety of the Terms of Service before purchasing from my shop.
Please consult the FAQs before reaching out with any inquiries; after reviewing both the FAQs and TOS, if you still have any questions, feel welcome to reach out to me!
General Information
Sleepy Kitty Studio products are only sold through the Shopify site you are currently on, www.sleepykitty.studio (there is no .com on the end). The link to my shop is available in the Linktree in my Instagram bio.
I highly recommend creating an account on the shop site with your card information as well as your shipping address to save time during the checkout process during launches. Shopify does not have cart holds and collections are limited, so it helps to be ready! :)
Sleepy Kitty Studio is a SFW shop and so unless otherwise specified, releases do not require age verification; however, I ask that you are 16+ and if you are a minor, obtain parental permission for your purchase. An exception to this is custom orders: Custom orders are only available to customers 18+. See custom order page for more information.
Although I create and market my items as primarily fashion and cosplay accessories, as that is my own realm of interest, I embrace inclusion and celebrate self-expression. Sleepy Kitty Studio items can be used by the customer in any way they would like, including (but not limited to) fashion, cosplay, LARP, or NSFW purposes (only if 18+). You are welcome here!
Disclaimer: I absolutely do not support or condone MIK (minors in kink) and if Sleepy Kitty Studio items are seen being used for inappropriate content by minors you will be reported, blocked, and blacklisted. 18+ spaces are labeled as such for a reason and should only be participated in by consenting legal adults—it is unsafe for minors to participate in kink communities. Wait until you are a legal adult. You will thank yourself later.
Sleepy Kitty Studio ears are made using coated wire and aluminum headbands, and although the ends of the wire are cut blunt to ensure safety and the aluminum headbands come with caps covering the ends for your comfort, mishandling the wired connections (such as trying to take the ears off of the headband) is not recommended.

Shipping
Shipping within the US is free with all orders over $60! (automatically applied at checkout).
Sleepy Kitty Studio currently ships within the US only. International shipping options are being explored for the future.
I use USPS exclusively for shipping and have found them to be reliable. If you encounter issues with shipping delays, please check your tracking information and shipping address to ensure it is correct. Once the package leaves my hands, it is the responsibility of the USPS and is no longer within my control.
If you experience excessive issues with shipping, please contact me and I can help sort things out (this includes lost packages or damage; I can’t help with shipping delays). I am more than happy to help resolve any issues! Packages returned to me due to an incorrect address input during checkout will be subject to a postage fee for resending the package to the correct address.
Sleepy Kitty Studio is not responsible for damaged or lost packages and packages include basic insurance for these issues. I have not yet had a problem with a lost or damaged item, so if this does occur, please reach out to me and we will figure out a solution!
Returns/Refunds
Sleepy Kitty Studio does not offer returns or refunds as a general policy. I am as transparent as possible in item descriptions and disclose any notable flaws on the items; photos are edited for accuracy to the real-life item as much as possible, but there might be a small amount of color variation depending on your monitor/screen. I post preview photos as well as a preview of the descriptions for the item ahead of time on my Instagram, so that you can make an informed decision ahead of release times.
All items are 100% handmade with utmost care, but because of their nature, small flaws and imperfections are inevitable. Please ensure that you are happy with the item in the photos before you purchase. I do not make any changes on pre-made items; you are buying the specific pair pictured in the listing with the specific charms/bows/etc pictured. If you want a pair of ears similar to one I have made already but with changes, please look into getting a custom order.
However, I do understand that extraneous circumstances have the chance of occurring; damage incurred to the items during transit or other outlier circumstances in which the product is unsatisfactory due to factors outside of preference or control will be handled on a case-by-case basis in the event that they occur.
I have a "Shapes" highlight on my Instagram page with try-ons of all of my regular shapes that can help you determine whether a style of ear fits your general preference. For unique shapes, I will often post try-ons on my Instagram story ahead of time.
Payment
All payments for Sleepy Kitty Studio are collected through the Shopify website checkout, including payments and deposits for custom orders.
Shopify offers various payment methods (there is a list of accepted payment methods at the bottom of the site page). If you choose to use Shop Pay for your order, please read its terms and conditions. Shop Pay allows you to split your payment into 4 interest-free payments but it requires you to pass its credit check before it will authorize you to use it. Shop Pay is a service offered by Shopify and is not something I have control over in any way.
Purchase Limits
I do not currently have a general purchase limit because I currently make a small volume of sales; this may change in the future.
I may set purchase limits on a specific collection. If there is a purchase limit on a collection, I will clearly label in the item listing that there is a purchase limit of x number of items in the collection (I will also make this information available on my Instagram page).
If you attempt to purchase more items than specified by the purchase limit, I will cancel and refund your order and the items will be relisted. Note that this means that all of the items in your order will be refunded, not just the items that are over the purchase limit.
Holds
I do not offer holds under any circumstance; I cannot hold items for you to combine shipping from different releases but I can defer shipping your item for you after you purchase it if you will be out of town for a while, on vacation, etc. You must contact me right away if you need me to hold off on shipping your item. All items in a single order will be sent at the same time.
Damage & Repairs
Sleepy Kitty Studio items are constructed with high quality materials to stand the test of time as long as you follow the proper care instructions. I include instructions for care in your purchase; there is also information on this in the FAQ as well as in the “Care” story highlight on my Instagram page. Items are wearable art and should be treated as such to ensure that they last.
The number one thing to ensure the longevity of your ears and/or bows is to be careful that you do not leave your ears or bows in a hot car or other extreme temperature environments; this could melt the materials used to construct them or ruin the texture of the fur. Moisture will ruin the texture of the fur as well, so be careful not to wear your ears in the elements. I more than likely cannot offer repairs or refurbishment for these types of occurrences; however, if you ever do have a mishap like this happen, I may be able to recreate previous pairs via a custom order.
For small incidents of wear-and-tear or damage incurred during use, I am more than happy to refurbish your ears for you if possible. I have not had any problems in need of repair with my own personal pairs of Sleepy Kitty Studio ears, so I am not yet sure of what the refurbishment process will look like. Likely, it would simply require you to pay to ship the ears to me and back and a small fee depending on the issue. Please contact me if you have any issues pertaining to damage.
It is normal for the wired connections on the ears to loosen over time, due to the nature of the ears being readjustable on the headband. This is easy to fix by gently squeezing the wired connections with a flat pair of pliers. Please see the Care story highlight on my Instagram for video instructions of this if you would like to tighten the wired connections.
Reselling
Sleepy Kitty Studio items are limited and I ask that they are only resold at a reasonable price based on the condition of the ears and what you paid for them. I do not condone purchasing my items for the sole intent to resell/trade them. If I notice suspicious reselling activity, you will be blocked from purchasing in the future.
